INVID
The
Invid mecha is more of an exoskeleton than a machine. These bodies act
as a housing for the Invid "crys-egg" and each body denotes
that Invid's function. Invid society is much like a bee-hive or ant colony.
To the left we see Corg's exoskeleton which denotes his status as a prince.
To the bottom left is an Invid Scout and to the bottom right, an Invid
Shock Trooper. The Scout is the most common unit, it is equipped with
a sensor device which detects protoculture emanations and on Earth it
is used primarily to patrol the wastelands outside the Invid Control Zones.
The Shock Trooper is a very powerful exoskeleton, usually reserved for
officers and more evolved Invid.
