DESTROIDS

Destroids are specialized armored vehicles that provide land assault and support. There are several different models of destroids, three of which are shown here. To the left is the rocket launcher Phanlanx, below left is the Spartan and below right the MK IV. Although not as large as the MAC-II, the destroids are more maneuverable and only require a single pilot to man the controls. None of the major characters in the Macross series piloted a destroid.
